Stewardship Ministry
Chairperson, Craig

“The kings secretary and the high priest, counted and tied up in bags the money that was found in the house of the Lord. Then they would give the money, into the hands of the workman who had oversight of the house of he Lord, the carpenters and builders, the masons and the stonecutters, as well as to buy timber and quarried stone for making repairs on the house of the Lord.
2 Kings 12:10-12
Everything that we have is
given to us by God; our response to
God’s immeasurable grace is
through our stewardship of God’s
resources - time, talent, and money. It
is through all three types of stewardship that we
honor our Lord and become bonded with our church
family.
One of the primary
responsibilities of this ministry is to administer
the Spiritual Gifts program to help members discover
and develop the special gifts God has given them for
service through ministry. A second
responsibility is the careful accounting of
the the
congregation and with external organizations, paying
the bills, and processing donations. Every
month this ministry provides a statement of income
and expenses and a balance sheet for the Church
Council. Once a year this ministry works with
the Church Council and ministry volunteers to prepare
the annual budget. Faithful execution of the
duties of this ministry requires that we acknowledge
God as our provider. It is out of gratitude
that we share and faithfully administer what He has
given
us.
